Our Farm
Fourth Generation Family Farming
Thoughtfully Sourced
Inspired by the Netherlands, one of the world’s leaders in circular agriculture, we prioritize ethical and responsible sourcing, upcycled ingredients, low-impact manufacturing, and sustainable packaging at every step. Our tulips may be beautiful, but their power lies in their roots.
Upcycling Bulb to Bloom
We extract our proprietary complex from “ugly” and “irregular” tulip bulbs that would otherwise be discarded—reducing waste and giving them new life in skincare. At the end of every April bulb growers need to conduct a necessary part of the bulb growing cycle by “chopping” all the tulip flowers. At Bloomeffects we use upcycled black tulip flowers as they posses the highest yield of flavonoids - a rich form of antioxidant.

Farming Practices
Since 1905, our founder’s family farm has employed crop rotation to protect the soil quality. We also always water our fields via the canal system to reduce water consumption.
H.M. van Haaster, our fourth generation family farm, is the source of our prized Proprietary Dutch Tulip Complex.
Founded in 1905 by Hein’s great grandfather of the same name, H.M. Van Haaster continues to grow and export award winning, royal blooms from the Netherlands to the world.
Annually it hosts our Bloomeffects festival ‘Tulip Season’ that celebrates our award-winning products and heritage with our community.
