Clean Beauty is largely unregulated in the beauty industry, leaving it up to each brand to determine and define what it means to be clean.

Which is why we developed our own definition.

At Bloomeffects, we believe in Conscious Beauty - to us this means ethically-sourced, cruelty free, and created with care for your skin and the environment.

Like everything in life, balance is key. All natural isn’t always the best for you or the environment. Equally, synthetic is not always toxic. We take the best that science and nature has to offer, prioritising efficacy, environment and ethics.

We consciously and carefully formulate with globally leading laboratories and our founder is quite literally married to the source of our hero ingredient - the tulip. Our formulas are award-winning and backed by third party Consumer Perception Studies and Before & Afters. We formulate with proven ingredients at active levels backed by in vitro and in vivo studies.

We formulate with sensitive skin in mind and we are proudly always fragrance free. Using the botanical benefits, did you know that the tulip is one of the only naturally fragrance free flowers?

Our overarching ethos is: Good for you and better for the environment.

CLEAN & CONSCIOUS

Our formulations are 'clean' meaning we adhere to the Credo Clean Standard in clean beauty.

Transparency is important to us, which is why we have partnered with ClearForMe to provide equality of information pertaining to our ingredients. All Palm Oil derived ingredients use RSPO Certified sources while our mica is ethically sourced and does not use child labor.

All our products and ingredients adhere to the EU animal testing ban and are Leaping Bunny certified - cruelty free.

FOUNDER-OWNED TULIP FARM

HM van Haaster is a family run farm with 118 years of expertise. True to sustainable Dutch farming practices, we employ crop rotation to protect and improve soil quality, and never water from above to reduce water consumption.

UPCYCLING AND CIRCULAR FARMING

Bloomeffects is the first to upcycle and promote circular farming in the tulip industry. The backbone of our proprietary tulip technologies, we practise byproduct innovation using our farm’s waste, bulb to bloom to create our products.

CONSCIOUS PACKAGING

Primarily made from recycled materials, glass, and 100% recycled FSC certified cartons printed with soy ink. We are also the first beauty brand in the US to use PICEA ™ wood, a material upcycled from excess sawdust waste from German Carpenters.

A nonprofit organization that strengthens the self-esteem of people with cancer, Lipstick Angels provides oncology-sensitive clean beauty services by professional makeup artists and estheticians in hospitals.

  • Donated 180 products for their spa and beauty treatments in hospitals and cancer treatment centers.

Women Lead is a community-based intergenerational organization that strengthens the progressive social and political power of Asian and Pacific Islander communities in the United States through the leadership of AAPI women, girls, and gender-expansive communities.

  • Donating all profits from our award-winning & bestselling Royal Tulip Nectar during the last week of May (AAPI Month)

The mission of the Ali Forney Center is to protect homeless Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning youths from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to be independent.

  • June 2022 - donated all Tulip Nectar Cleansing Cream profits for whole month
  • June 2023 - donating all Dew Cream profits between 24th-31st.

We are predominantly vegan with the exception of:

Royal Tulip Petal Polish - Yogurt Prebiotics

Tulip Dew Drops - Lysozyme derived from chicken eggs (by product of fermentation of Vitamin C)

Royal Tulip Cleansing Jelly - Carmine. This has been reformulated as Vegan (Tube version)
